Gibson's Memphis Custom Shop ES-330 ’59 Reissue is a dreamy modern take on the fully-hollow ES-330 as it was originally released back in 1959. Featuring VOS sunburst finish and slightly aged hardware, the guitar has a vintage look and feel that's spot on. The Memphis ES-330 has a 1959 neck feel, underwound vintage P-90 pickups, and an R-prefix serial number. Along with its dot neck inlays, dark rosewood fingerboard and its headstock dimensions, the guitar has a definite vintage look and feel, and sounds the part too. It's pretty much got it all going on for anyone who's into the vintage ES-330 thing.

Fully-hollow double-cut maple laminate body with mahogany neck. Bound rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, round/deep C carve and 1-11/16” nut width. First fret neck depth is .875”, 12th fret depth is .977”. P-90 dog ear pickups with DC values of 7k, bevelled 5 ply black pickguard, aged speed knobs, vintage switch tip, and no-spring vintage-reissue Tune-O-Matic bridge. The Bigsby is likely non-original but has been beautifully installed as if it were factory original. The nut has been upgraded for bone and is nicely made. 6.3lbs.

Set-up here at Folkway, the guitar plays beautifully with frets that show almost no playtime. Condition is quite lovely as there is very little playwear anywhere on the guitar, but there is a small separation in the top ply of the body’s laminate on the treble horn of the top.
