Built in collaboration with guitar virtuoso Julian Lage, the Collings OM1 A JL is a refined modern take on the artist's own 1939 000-18. Designed around the OM1 Traditional model, Lage's signature guitar pairs a Traditional X-braced spruce top with Honduras mahogany back and sides. Specs diverge from the Traditional series OM1 with a custom neck profile that recreates the carve found on Lage's pre-war 000-18 and 25.5” scale. Additionally, the OM1 A JL features a custom satin nitrocellulose finish, giving the guitar a more vintage feel, tone, and aesthetic.

This OM1 JL A features an Adirondack top, giving the instrument a throaty, punchy flavour with plenty of extra headroom that blends perfectly with the model’s otherwise sweet, rich, and dynamic response. With its light build, the guitar's voice has an overall airy and touch-sensitive quality that can be hugely rewarding to a player with a controlled right-hand attack.

Overall, this OM1 A JL is an exquisite vintage-inspired build that combines the traditions and specs of the Martin’s late 1930’s flattops with Collings' unrivalled and uncompromising standards of quality.

We typically ship instruments on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, depending on the destination, to help reduce time in transit and avoid unnecessary weekend warehouse delays. Shipping times are not guaranteed.

For credit card payments, we can only ship to the billing address associated with the card. If you need to ship to a different address, please contact us to discuss alternate payment options. Orders paid by bank wire or eTransfer can be shipped to an alternative address.

All instruments ship fully insured and must be packed in a hard or semi-hard case.

Most orders will require a signature upon delivery. If you prefer, you may request delivery without a signature; however, Folkway Music is not responsible for loss or theft once the package has been delivered without a signature. You may also request to have your package held for pickup at a local carrier access point.
