2015 Gibson Hummingbird
A recent Gibson Hummingbird in near-mint condition. Mahogany and spruce body with sunburst top and vintage Hummingbird appointments. Multi-layered purflings and rosette, large pickguard with hummingbird motif, rosewood bridge with drop in saddle, and scalloped bracing. 24.75” scale rosewood fingerboard with split parallelogram inlays, 1-11/16” nut, pearl headstock logo and crown inlay. Factory installed LR Baggs Element undersaddle pickup.
The guitar is in nearly perfect condition but does show a few very fine scratches in certain lighting. Set-up in our shop, excellent playability and unworn frets. With a few years under its belt, this Hummingbird has opened up nicely. Warm lows and mids, classic rounded trebles, some thumpy Gibson character through the bass, and an overall rich, singing tone.
