1970 Gibson J-50

With its 1-11/16” nut width, rounded full-feeling neck, and single-X bracing, this 1970 Gibson J-50 is something of a breath of fresh air after Gibson's 1968/69 production. The guitar features a square shouldered Dreadnought body with spruce top and mahogany back and sides, adjustable rosewood bridge and a 25-1/4” scale.

Apart from its cool looking firestripe replacement pickguard, this guitar is totally original and in excellent shape. No repairs and not much in the way of playwear, no cracks or other changed parts. Frets are in great shape, neck angle is good, and the guitar has just been set up in our shop.

A warm and darkly intimate guitar, this J50 is a perfect choice for signing along with and is surprisingly well suited for fingerstyle.

With hardshell case
