1960 Gibson J-45

FON R6934-5. A no excuses guitar, with seriously good looks, excellent playability, and great tone. An adjustable bridge model that was flawlessly converted by us not too long ago; repro bridge with drop-in bone saddle, and new 50's sized maple bridge plate. It would be tough to tell that it wasn't originally a non-adjustable model, were it not for the J-45 ADJ ink stamped on the back's inside center strip.

Pickguard crack perfectly repaired by us, no other cracks, repairs, or issues. Original finish is in excellent condition; light playwear north of the soundhole and fingerboard; original frets, nut, tuners. Set up is spot on, frets show very light wear, action of 5 to 7 64ths. Typical 1960 neck profile -- round and full width at 1-11/16" at the nut, but with a faster lower profile than the late 1950's necks. A very easy guitar to play.

Late 1950's tone, with lots of volume and headroom, well developed fullness, good snap and presence. A perfect strumming guitar, like the best post-war j-45's. Original bridge, saddle hardware, and bridgeplate provided with the guitar.
