1915 Gibson A-

A perfect choice for Celtic or Irish picking, this hundred and two year old Gibson has excellent projection and more cut than the majority of A-style mandolins. It would do well in a jam setting, and is a great rhythm instrument.

Original finish throughout, original tuners, nut, frets, and tailpiece as well. The bridge is a nicely fit Lloar-style replacement, and the pickguard and tailpiece cover are missing. There is a repaired top crack to the right of the fingerboard, a repaired crack in the upper part of the back, and a reglued back/sides separation near the tailpiece. The frets are 102 years old, but still play well up to the body-joint.
