2000 National Style 1.5 Tricone
National's Style 1.5 Tricone features a nickel-plated brass body engraved with wiggle-lines around the edges for a little extra touch of style. With its smooth, warm and even tone, the brass bodied Tricone has always been the choice for resonator players looking for a Hawaiian or jazzy sounding instrument, but there are plenty of blues players who have made the Tricone their signature sound.
This example is in excellent condition but for a finish chip in the heel of the neck and some light oxidation of its plated finish. It's completely original and has been carefully set-up in our shop with a hybrid fingerstyle/slide action. The guitar has been fitted with a passive undersaddle pickup that sounds balanced and breathy without a preamp.
Mahogany neck with ivoroid bound ebony fingerboard, pearl diamond inlays, bone nut and open-geared slotted headstock tuners. Metal National shield logo, satin sunburst neck finish, soft V neck carve with a nut width of 1-7/8 and a scale of 25.6”.
