Rickard Custom 12 inch Spunover
This one-off Rickard banjo features a 12” rim with a nickel-silver shell and maple rim, 26 brackets and center-grooved tension hoop. It has a Dobson style tone ring, No-Knot style cast tailpiece, Fiberskyn head, and dowel-stick construction. The maple neck features a minstrel-style heel carve, ebony center lamination, and an unradiussed ebony fingerboard with a frailing scoop, gold EVO fretwire, pearl inlays, a nutwidth of 1-5/32” and 25.5” scale length.
A beguilingly voiced instrument, this Rickard has a wet and full tone with just the right amount of definition and articulation. It’s getting a lot of playtime here.
