Sawchyn Beavertail Bouzouki

Peter Sawchyn is sadly no longer building instruments.

The Beavertail Irish Bouzouki is a 25.5” scale instrument with a large 12.5” wide flat-top body. It's a very rich, resonant, and bright bouzouki with excellent projection and a wonderful sustain. Unison string pairs are perfect for Irish music, and the Beavertail is a great candidate for the genre. Heck, even if you've never played a triplet in your life you'll love what this instrument can do.

Solid woods throughout – Sitka spruce and figured maple body, mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard and bridge. Meticulously hand-made by Peter Sawchyn in Regina Saskatchewan, the Beavertails feature a nitrocellulose lacquer finish, radiussed fingerboard, bone nut and fully compensated bridge. The attention to detail and craftsmanship are second to none.
