Collings MT2 Cremona Sunburst / Flowerpot Gloss Top
Collings' Cremona sunburst is a gorgeous homage to Loar-era F5 finish. It exudes vintage, and beautifully compliments the figured maple and quartered red spruce used in this mandolin's construction. This MT2 is further dressed up with a Flowerpot headstock inlay (again, harkening back to the early 1920's), and a bound ebony pickguard. Gloss finish throughout, pearl and ivoroid accents, ebony fingerboard and bridge.
V neck carve, 1-1/8” nut width, compound radiussed fingerboard, 13-7/8” scale.
The F-holed, A-body, long-neck MT2 offers players a bluegrass-voiced instrument with a non-scroll body design. It's a woody and responsive instrument with plenty of pop and cut, and lots of volume there when it's time to dig in. The neck plays fast and easy, and it looks great doing what it does.
