Larrivée J-10 Madagascar

Made with exquisite tone woods and trimmed with lavish mother of pearl bindings and accents this Vancouver-built Larrivée J-10 Jumbo is one of the more ornate instruments we've encountered from this builder in years. The back and sides are of figured Madagascar rosewood, and the guitar's top appears to be of beautifully quartered Englemann spruce. At about 17” wide, the J-10 offers a large canvas for the beauty of its tone woods to shine.

A big and bold sounding guitar with a well developed bass-end response and classic Larrivée bold mids and trebles this is a large guitar that does fingerstyle very well. Needless to say it's a great strummer too, but the surprise is in how well this guitar responds to a fingerstyle approach.

Mahogany neck with bound ebony fingerboard, 1-3/4” nut, 25.5” scale. Schaller tuners, Tusq nut and saddle. Pearl-bound top, pearl rosette, logo, and bridge and bridge inlays.

The guitar has two long and cleanly repaired top cracks but is otherwise in very clean condition and is well set-up.
