There's nothing quite like a lightly-built all-mahogany 00 size guitar. The Santa Cruz Guitar Company builds some of the most lightly made flat-tops on the market, and the combination of their design and the South American mahogany body's tonewood makes for a truly beguiling playing experience. The guitar is articulate and responsive to a light touch, balanced and even keeled, and has a mellow and sweet fundamental and overtones that are complex but well-tempered.

The instrument is amazingly comfortable to hold and to play, its 00-sized 12 fret body positions the player's hands and arms in about the most naturally ergonomic position. The neck features a short scale of 24.9", a 1-3/4" nut width, and a fairly round-feeling soft-V carve.

This 00-29 features a very lightly sunbursted finish. It’s quite subtle, but adds a lot to the looks of the guitar. The top and back are bound with matching mahogany and purfled with a fine line of black on both sides.

Very light scalloped top bracing, ebony fingerboard and pyramid bridge, bone nut and compensated saddle, ivoroid headstock logo, vintage style Schaller tuners with ebony buttons. Small tortoiseshell celluloid pickguard and simple celluloid rosette.

In near-perfect condition, the guitar shows almost no playwear to its frets and finish and is set up with a low fingerstyle action and light strings. One very small ding on the back is the guitar’s only flaw.

With original Ameritage hard shell case
