2013 Huss & Dalton Crossroads Lefty

The lefty Huss and Dalton Crossroads is a wonderful recreation of the venerable L-00 models built in the 1930's, but crafted with a luthier's attention to detail and tone. We're big fans of this guitar's aesthetic, and applaud the folks at Huss & Dalton for getting an L-00 inspired guitar to look the part. From the short fingerboard and full circle rosette to the guitar's fairly small center sunburst and nicely shaped pickguard, the Crossroads model just looks right to our vintage-guitar-trained eyes!

A fun guitar to play, this left-handed Crossroads has a punchy bluesy side that shows itself well under a raggy-fingerstyle attack, but cleans up nicely when lightened up. It can sound raw and powerful, or pretty and light depending on the player's left-hand approach (left-hand in this case).

In excellent, just about new condition, there really isn't anything to fault this guitar for. It shows next to no wear of any kind, and the set-up (done here) is lovely. The neck carve feels great – not too vintage/large, but not small – and it has a mostly rounded C shape with the slightest hint of a V. 1-3/4” nut width, 24.75” scale, and a string spread of 2-5/16” at the saddle.

Sitka spruce top with scalloped braces, mahogany back and sides, single-ply cream bindings and bevelled tortoise celluloid pickguard. Gloss lacquer finish, three-on-a-plate vintage style tuning machines. Factory left-handed.
