2013 Bourgeois Aged Tone Adirondack Slope D Short Scale

Serial # 006206. We're big fans of Dana Bourgeois and his company - they simply make some beautiful guitars. We're quite excited by this great sounding Aged Tone Series Slope D, with short scale, Torrefied Adirondack spruce top and Mahogany back and sides. It displays the superb craftsmanship, incredible tone and ease of play that we have come to expect from Bourgeois. But the extra special bits that take this guitar to the next level are the Aged Tone Series extras. Beyond the torrefied top, the Aged Tone series guitars feature custom bracing and a thin finish that is unique to this series.

The first thing to note about this guitar is that it handles almost any style of playing thrown at it. It has a balanced enough voice to capture the utmost intimate fingerstyle performance and with equal confidence handles heavy bluegrass-style flatpicking attack. If you want a guitar to do everything -- this might very well be your instrument. The torrefied Adirondack Spruce top grants a certain maturity of tone that one wouldn't expect from a guitar made only 3 years ago; it's got a very big and open sound, and amazing balance. This Slope D is a thoughtfully appointed guitar with its ziracote fingerboard and bridge, open geared Waverly tuners, ivoroid accents, and firestripe pickguard. The neck features a 1-23/32" nut width, short-scale of 24.9" a bridge pin spread of 2-1/4" and C neck carve.

Recently set up in our shop, this is a great sounding and versatile Bourgeois with exemplary build quality. It's in excellent condition with only a few small dings to mention.

With Original Hardshell Case.
