2009 Santa Cruz 000-R Custom
Serial # 3964. A beguiling guitar, this twelve-fret 000 has a rich and complex voice, colored with beautiful overtones and expressive subtleties. It's had a few years to open up and mature, and has become a remarkable sounding instrument with a glorious sustain and a piano-like clarity.
Indian rosewood back and sides, scallop braced Sitka spruce top. Herringbone purflings, zigzag back strip, ivoroid bindings, small rectangular ebony bridge with drop-in saddle, and beveled edge pickguard. Ivoroid bound ebony fingerboard and headstock, custom style 45 torch inlay in pearl and abalone, vintage-style tuners with ivoroid buttons.
Rounded V neck carve, 1-3/4" nutwidth, 25.4" scale. Bone nut and compensated saddle, abalone-dot bone bridge pins. K+K Pure Mini pickup professionally installed.
The guitar is in perfect condition with no scratches, dings, or dents. Frets show almost no playwear. Set-up by us. It's a special guitar.
