2007 Collings OM1H Custom
A deep-body Collings mahogany and Sitka OM1 with herringbone bindings and a 1-3/4” nut width. A dozen years on in life, this Collings OM has opened up beautifully and sounds quite lovely. Gone is the tightness of a new mahogany OM, replaced with a warm openness through the mid, a well developed bass end, and round full-bodied trebles. The deep-body makes this one something of a super-OM, adding some extra air volume to bring a bigness to the tone that most OMs can't boast of.
An attractive guitar with tortoise bindings set against herringbone top trim and somewhat stripy mahogany. Nickel waverly tuners, rosewood headstock overlay, bone nut, ebony fingerboard and bridge, tortoise-pattern OM pickguard.
In excellent condition and freshly set-up here at Folkway. There are some belt impressions on the back's finish and a few small dings elsewhere on the body. Frets show just light wear. Strap button and K+K Mini pickup installed.
