1996 Taylor Leo Kottke 12 String

Leo Kottke is widely considered the modern champion of the 12 string guitar. He's been an inspiration to countless players and has largely singlehandedly brought the 12 string into the modern era of music. For many years Kottke was a Taylor endorsee, and his 12 string signature models are among the most playable and best sounding 12 string guitars available.

This 1996 model features a 17” jumbo cut-away body of mahogany and Sitka spruce with attractive mitered body purflings with Koa bindings, a gloss finish and gold hardware. The label is dated May 15th, 1996, and is signed by Leo Kottke.

The guitar is in excellent condition and has just been carefully set-up here at Folkway. We've replaced the saddle with a Taylor compensated 12 string bone saddle, which is a nice upgrade and a really cool replacement part.

A great sounding, lively and open 12 string.
