1965 Kay 6150

Here's a looker, huh? The Kay Model 6150 'Super Auditorium' is a 15.5" small jumbo guitar with a whole lot of cherry sunburst, and some awesome mid/late '60's touches. Dig the checkerboard bindings and soundhole, the metal shield headstock badge, and the O-Kay logos!

Ladder-braced spruce top, birch back and sides, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, gold (ok, brass) frets, bone nut and saddle.

The guitar is pretty much perfect but for (sadly) a broken truss-rod. As such the neck has a bit too much relief to play really nicely.

A cool sounding lo-fi guitar with enough air-volume to overcome the its heavier ladder-braced build and offer lots of volume and bluesy tone. It sounds awesome with a slide.

With original chipboard case.
