1957 Martin 00-18

One of the very first guitars to receive a serial number in 1957, this Martin 00-18 has turned 60 with grace. The guitar is in just beautiful condition and completely original. It is without any cracks and has had no repairs other than a neck reset. Original bridge and bridge plate are unmodified and in great shape, original tuners work well, and the guitar's original frets play cleanly. There is some playwear adjacent to the fingerboard's extension on the treble side of the top, and a small assortment of minor dings, dents, and scratches throughout.

The guitar has a very pretty and intimate tone, and responds warmly and fully to a light fingerstyle touch. It's not a powerhouse flatpicker, but much more so an expressive and melodic smaller guitar. With its enticing tone, compact body, and friendly neck carve this 00-18 is surely a great choice for the couch, the living room, or the studio.

Mahogany and sitka spruce, 00-sized 14 fret body with straight X bracing, tortoise-celluloid bindings and pickguard. Apart from a newer bone saddle, the guitar is 100% factory stock, including bridge pins.

With modern deluxe hardshell case
