2014 Gibson Les Paul R8 Custom Aged
A one-off custom ordered Gibson R8 with believably aged finish, hardware and Grover tuners. With its chunky deep rounded "58 neck carve, lemon faded sunburst finish and relic treatment this guitar is quite convincingly accurate. We especially appreciate the factory Grover tuner installation, which shows Kluson tuner footprints and screw-holes on the back of the headstock. It's a slick touch. The guitar's relic treatment shows some dings and dents, worn-through edges and corners, and some pretty incredible crazing of the lacquer; and the hardware is oxidized just the right amount.
Looking past the aging, the guitar is in excellent condition and appears to have seen little use. The frets show very little wear, and the setup is spot on. The neck feel is heavenly, finish is gorgeous, and the tone is magical.
You'll find the guitar's COA and hang tags in the case pocket. Original brown/pink hardshell case is in as-new condition.
