2011 Gibson SJ-200 Custom

The SJ-200 was dubbed "The King of the Flattops' when it was introduced, and the moniker has had great staying power through the years. Well, this Abalone-pearl bordered, extra-fancy Custom SJ-200 might be the king of them all!

A lavishly appointed instrument with gold Grover imperial tuners, abalone pearl inlays to the headstock, fingerboard and bridge, and pearl top and soundhole trimmings, multi-layer purflings and cream bindings to the entire instrument. It's finished with a gorgeous tobacco sunburst, and features the engraved vine pickguard and moustache bridge of SJ-200 fame.

Adirondack spruce top with scalloped braces and Indian rosewood back and sides. Mahogany neck with bound ebony fingerboard, 1-3/4” nut, 25.5” scale, and 2-3/16” string spread at the bridge. Factory fitted with a Fishman Aura Ellipse Blend pickup system.

A particularly balanced large-bodied guitar, this SJ-200 Custom has a loud voice, plenty of presence and great focus. It's a wonderful sounding all-around guitar and can handle any kind of pick attack. The wide X brace angle gives the J-200 its unique voice, and this rosewood version adds in the extra power and bass presence that Rosewood is famous for.
