2009 Gibson CS-336 Lefty

Gibson's CS-336 lefty is quite a different guitar than the ES-339, although at first glance this might not be apparent. Both guitars share the same scaled-down ES-335 body geometry, short scale neck, and familiar Gibson 4 knobs/2 humbucker layout, but that's where the similarities end. The CS-336 is a custom-shop creation, built with a solid, carved, bookmatched maple top, and a back and sides that are routed and carved from a single solid piece of Mahogany. There is a solid center block on both top and back that are joined together for increased sustain and improved feed-back resistance over a traditional semi-hollow. In terms of tone, the guitar is something of a hybrid of a Les Paul and an ES-335. It has the sustain and cut of a solid body, and the nuance and acoustic resonance of a semi-hollow.

The guitar's neck is a 1960 carve low C with a fast feel, 1-11/16” nut, and 24.75” scale. Bound rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays; headstock dressed up with pearl crown inlay and logo, and a set of vintage style Klusons.

Classic 57 humbuckers, historically minded dot-neck 335 trimmings, and gloss laquer sunburst finish.Set-up in shop.

The guitar is in perfect condition and presents as new. No fretwear or finish damage.
