2006 Gibson Advanced Jumbo

Serial # 00536033. The iconic Advanced Jumbo is one of Gibson's most famous models. Built for a very short while in the 1930's, the original AJs are widely considered to be Gibson's most desirable flat-top, but very few of us have ever had a chance to play one thanks to their rarity.

The reissued AJ is a lovely instrument, with Gibson's classic warmth through the bass and middle, and the power, projection, and note separation of a rosewood long-scale Dreadnought.

This example is in particularly fine condition, with no cracks, repairs, or damage. It has had its bridge pins, nut, and saddle replaced in our shop, and the instrument's tone and playability are first-rate.

Indian rosewood back and sides, fingerboard, and bridge; Sitka spruce top with scalloped X bracing and sunburst lacquer finish. Firestripe pickguard, though-cut bridge, pearl inlays, and open-geared tuners.

1-23/32" nut width, 25.5" scale neck with rounded carve.

With original hardshell case
