2003 Dobro Dobrolektric

The Gibson-built Dobro Dobroleckric is a thinline semi-hollow resonator electric with a National-style biscuit bridge cone, P-90 pickup in the neck and a piezo pickup mounted in the bridge. If you were ever on the hunt for a Gibson-made, Dobro-branded, National-styled, telecaster-bodied, acoustic-electric hybrid resonator you can end the search right here! All that and it plays really well, too, thanks to an in-depth set-up done here at Folkway.

It's a fun guitar to play, with an electric guitar feel and blending control between the two pickup sources. The full-size national-style cone does its thing played acoustically, but it's through an amp, or a pair of amps and an A/B switching box, where the guitar really shines.

Rounded neck feel with a nut width of 1-11/16” and scale of 24-1/2”. Sunburst lacquer finish over figured maple top with white bindings, mahogany back and neck, bolt-on mahogany neck with unbound rosewood fingerboard and dot inlays, and poinsettia coverplate.

The guitar is in excellent condition and is completely original including original hardshell case.
