1957 Gibson LG-2

FON U681-13. With its nice mid-range punch, clearly defined bass and very round and full trebles, this Gibson LG-2 is a top notch fingerstyle blues picker and a great choice for lead acoustic guitar. In a jam setting these 1950's LG-2s fit in perfectly with all the bigger-bodied guitars that most folks play, and always have a nice ability to cut through a mix.

This example is in lovely condition and is completely original but for a new set of bridge pins, two fingerboard dots, and a set of forgery-grade tuning machines. Its only repair is of a crack that follows the pickguard's inside margin. No loose, cracked or repaired braces; original bridge plate and bridge, original nut, saddle, and tuning machines.

Original finish throughout, very little playwear anywhere on the guitar. Excellent neck angle and action, with a full-height bridge and saddle. Original frets don't show any significant wear and play cleanly up the neck.

Round neck carve with 1-11/16" width at the nut, 24.75" and a pin spread of 2-1/8" at the bridge. Action set at 5-7 64ths, saddle height averages 1/8".

With newer TKL deluxe double-arched hardshell case
