1983 Fender Stratocaster Lefty

Serial # E338238. The classic early 1980's two-knob Fender Stratocaster in left-handed configuration. The model was built this way for a few years in the early 1980's when the guitar biz was having a hard time. Replacing the middle pickup volume control with the output jack was an easy way to save on manufacturing costs without changing any of the Stratocaster's famous tone or feel. The bridge is a top-loading design, again, to save on manufacturing costs.

This example is in amazing condition, and completely original but for a replacement output jack. Apart from some very light fret wear the guitar is in top shape and plays beautifully.

Black finish over alder, maple neck, 5 way switching, small headstock shape, made in USA.

With original hardshell case and tremolo arm
