1976 Guild Starfire VI

The Starfire VI was the highest-level model in the popular and long-spanning Starfire line. Built between the mid 1960s and the late 1970s, the SF-6 featured upscale inlays, gold hardware, humbucking pickups, and multi-layered bindings to the body, neck, and headstock. It's a lavishly appointed guitar with a natural lacquer finish over maple body and neck.

The guitar is completely original and in excellent condition. The gold plating has been worn away in places, but not in any extreme way; and the lacquer shows some crazing in places. Set-up was done here at Folkway, and the guitar plays cleanly with original frets, which are worn fairly low. Excellent neck angle and neck joint, no changed parts and no repairs other than a few tiny stress-lines in the outermost ply layer by the jack. Finish is in great shape throughout.

Compact neck carve with C shape and a nut width of 1-21/32. 25.5" scale, 16-3/8" wide body, 1-15/16" body depth. Semi-hollow construction, three-part neck, ebony fingerboard with pearl and abalone inlays.
