c.1955 Harmony H62
The Harmony H62 is something of a cult classic among jump blues guitarists and is popular with rockabilly players as well. The guitar's 16” cut-away full depth body and Gibson-made P-13 pickups offer a playing experience most closely like a mid 1950's ES-175D, but the P-13 pickups have a little extra bite as compared to the plastic-covered P-90s. It's a great sounding guitar, and definitely not your average harmony.
Tortoise-bound with triple-layered purflings, sunburst finish over spruce and maple. Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, 25-1/4” scale, 1-3/4” nut, brass frets and a round, full-feeling carve. Elevated fingerboard extension and pickguard, adjustable rosewood bridge, nickel-plated tailpiece and classic 50's Bakelite knobs.
The guitar is in exceptional condition but for frets that have been dressed quite low and a replacement/upgraded bridge top that has a compensated bone saddle. There is a slight gap at the base of the neck heel but no play in the dovetail.
