2014 Fender Custom Shop Heavy Relic 1954 Stratocaster
Serial # 1959. The Fender Custom Shop Heavy Relic 1954 Stratocaster was issued in commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of this iconic model, and is an absurdly beautiful of a first-year Strat with a few modern player-friendly touches. From the played-hard nitrocellulose finish to the miniskirt knobs and rounded bakelite pickup covers, every detail of this guitar is massaged to perfection.
One-piece ash body with heavily aged two-tone nitrocellulose lacquer finish, U-shaped quarter-sawn maple neck, Kluson tuners and single round string tree, single-ply white pickguard pick guard and 50's style plastic. Modern touches include 5 way switching and contemporary wiring, a 9.5" radius fingerboard, and narrow jumbo frets.
The guitar has an incredible neck feel, excellent body resonance, and some of the best looks around.
This example just about new, and even comes with its original shipping box! Set-up is excellent, playability is perfect, and there's no fretwear, of course. All the case-goodies accompany the guitar in their original packaging as well.
