c.1968 VOX Hurricane

A super-clean and original one-owner Vox Hurricane, built in the later 1960's. The guitar was purchased new by its local owner in 1968, and is in near-perfect condition. Set-up was done at Folkway, and the guitar plays beautifully as a result. Frets show almost no wear, and the finish is immaculate with only one real ding in the top. We replaced the pickguard in 2013 with a Vox Repro part, which looks great, and highlights the guitar's amazing condition.

Built by Eko in Italy, the Hurricane features a double-cut contoured maple body with sunburst finish, maple neck with Indian rosewood fingerboard, pearloid dots and white bindings, two single-coil pickups with 3-way switching, and a Bigsby-esque vibrato tailpiece. 25” scale, C-shaped neck with 1-11/16” nutwidth.

With its original hardshell case.
