1959 Harmony H-46 Stratotone

1958 saw the creation of the first hollow-body Stratotone models and the end of the smaller solid body versions. The new H46 featured concentric (stacked) volume and tone controls per pickup, three way switching, height adjustable bridge, and the familiar silkscreened headstock. DeArmond pickups were hard-mounted directly to the pickguard, and the neck was bolted on.

This example is in perfect condition, complete with a fretboard and frets that lie flat and play cleanly right up the neck. Set-up by us, the guitar plays significantly better than most Harmony guitars, and it needs no further fretwork, set-up, or adjustment.

Sound is heavenly, as Stratotones generally provide, with fat, clear, bold, single-coil tone. Original pots have codes that date to 1957, original switch, and jack.

With original chipboard case.
