c.1977 Marcelino Lopez Classical

A studio-line instrument bearing a Marcelino Lopez label, this late 1970's guitar is a cleanly made, high-quality student grade classical with traditional Madrid design.

The body is constructed of solid Indian rosewood and Western red cedar, with rosewood bindings and mitred maple purflings. Ebony fingerboard with 53mm nut width and 660mm scale.

A one-owner guitar that was purchased new in Spain in the late 1970's, this Lopez has lived an easy life and remains in nearly-new condition. No repairs of any kind, excellent neck angle and fretwork, unworn finish.

The guitar has a lovely and sweet cedar-topped sound, very good balance across the strings and up the fingerboard and nice presence. It's a student-level instrument of high quality, akin to a Ramirez R3.
