1966 Kay K-5918 Bass
The Kay Value Leader K-5918 electric bass was the company's least expensive bass offering in the late 1960's. A no-frills instrument, the K-5918 featured a hardwood body with bolt on 30-7/8” scale neck, single speed bump style pickup and Soft Teal Blue finish. A fun bass to play thanks to the slim short scale neck and light weight, this example has just been through our shop for some set up and light fret dressing. Apart from upgraded modern tuners the bass is completely original and in great working order.
