1946 Martin 0-17

A warm and open-sounding, taper-braced 1946 Martin 0-17 with a low and easy-playing set-up. Great mid-range presence, looseness, and a clean and dry fundamental tone make these early post-war mahogany Martins so sonically appealing. They have a uniquely full feeling neck carve as well, which supports the hand really nicely. The nut measures 1-11/16”, but feels more bulky thanks to the deep and round carve of the 1946/47 build.

All-mahogany unbound body with tapered X bracing. Rosewood fingerboard and replacement bridge. Replacement bone nut, newer frets, and modern Gotoh open-geared tuners. Original finish throughout.

The guitar has had its neck reset and plays with a low fingerstyle action and a full-height saddle. The body shows reglued top and back center-seams, but no true cracks.

With hardshell case
