2014 PRS Tonare Grand
The PRS Tonare Grand is voiced for power, volume, and balance. It features a unique steel-string / classical hybrid X bracing that employs a series of fan braces to support the guitar's lower bout and increase the mid-range projection and full, bold sounding trebles. The instrument's deep 16” wide body takes care of filling in the bass-end. The guitar has unlimited headroom, and players with a hard right-hand fingerstyle attack will love what this guitar has to offer to them.
Figured cocobolo back and sides, Adirondack spruce top with pearl and cocobolo rosette and bindings, cocobolo bridge, and clear pickguard. Mahogany neck with bound cocobolo fingerboard and headstock overlay; bird inlays, PRS signature in pearl, and gold PRS tuning machines.
The guitar is in beautiful condition with the exception of a 4” long repaired crack on the treble-side of the top about 1” off the waist. Two top braces have been cleanly reglued as part of the repair. The work was done here at Folkway. Playability is superb, and the guitar is otherwise in stunning condition. Completely original but for a custom-inlaid truss rod cover.
