2011 Santa Cruz 000-29
Serial # 4221. A very fine sounding first-year 000-29 from Santa Cruz, and a guitar that was originally purchased new through Folkway four years ago. The 000-29 has since become one of SCGC's best selling models, and for a lot of good reasons. It's combination of dry, vintage, woody tone, lightweight all-mahogany build, simple appointments, and lower-than-expected pricing tends to win over most who pick-up this model whenever we have one in stock.
This example has been very well cared for since new, and shows very little playwear or marks to its finish. No repairs, no issues, and beautifully set-up in our shop. Its voice has done some nice opening-up over these few years, and the guitar has a robust, open, and complex tone with rounded full bodied trebles, dry midrange, and articulate deep bass.
1-3/4" nut width, 25.5" scale, rounded V neck carve. South American mahogany top, back, and sides with mahogany binding and a fine black purling strip for highlight. Ebony fingerboard and pyramid bridge, Waverly tuning machines.
With original hardshell case
