2011 Martin 0-28VS

Martin's 0-28VS is a modern instrument inspired by the 12 fret 0-28 models of the late 1920s. The guitar features a body of Indian rosewood and Sitka spruce, scalloped bracing, and Herringbone-era trimmings. It's the smallest full-scale guitar Martin has offered in recent years and has a compact and comfy size that's perfect for lounging on the couch, song writing, or even travel.

Slotted headstock, pyramid bridge, ivoroid bindings, gloss lacquer finish. Modified V neck with 1-7/8” nut width and 24.9” scale. Dovetailed neck, small bridgeplate, and light build.

The guitar is in very fine condition and shows only very light playwear. The frets are nearly unworn and the finish is largely blemish-free with the exception of a few craze-lines in the top's lacquer. Set-up here at Folkway with fingerstyle action and 12-53 strings.

A warm and forward voiced guitar with a good mix of punch and expressiveness. It's a great choice for fingerstyle playing in just about any genre and is really fun to flatpick single note leads on as well.

With original hardshell case.
