2007 Oskar Graf Concert Cutaway
Serial 6/07. Built as a showpiece for the guitar shows and festivals that Oskar has presented at through the last 5 years, this 16" cut-away is nothing short of stunning. A masterpiece of craftsmanship, and a showcase of some of Oskar's finest tonewoods, the instrument is the pinnacle of Luthierie, as we like to define it.
The guitar is built with exceptionally straight-grained and quartered cocobolo back and sides, and a sitka spruce top that's about as perfect as wood can be. The body is finely bound in macassar ebony, which seamlessly flows into the instrument's gracefully beveled armrest. Flush cut-away, mosaic and pearl rosette, diamond and dot pearl inlays, and multi-layered purflings, all precisely mitered. Headstock front and rear overlays, pearl logo, and fine gold wire edge.
16" wide body, 25-3/8" scale, 1-3/4" nutwidth. C profile neck. The guitar plays effortlessly, and the flush-heel cut-away offers unparalleled access to the upper frets.
Oskar's guitars have a Cabernet-like fullness, with very robust mids and trebles, and bass response that's both open and articulate. The consummate fingerstyle instrument.
