Martin DC-16GTE
The all-solid-wood cut-away dreadnought DC-16GTE has been one of Martin & Co.'s best selling models for years. The guitar features a hybrid X scalloped braced, gloss finished Sitka spruce top, Sapele back and sides, one piece neck, and Roland AP-1 COSM onboard electronics. Both at home or at the gig this guitar delivers the Martin experience, and it does so without breaking the bank.
Modified low oval neck with Richlite fingerboard, 1-11/16' nut width and string spread of 2-1/8' at the bridge. Satin finished back and sides, black bindings, tortoise-pattern pickguard, herringbone rosette.
Roland designed the Composite Object Sound Modeling (COSM) AP-1 pre-amp specifically for this guitar, and the sophisticated pickup produces three 'tone variations' for the instrument, and offers a seven band EQ, anti-feedback control, built-in digital reverb, and an on-board chromatic tuner. It's a simple to use and brilliantly designed pickup that sounds excellent. We've been impressed since we first encountered this pick-up system in 2009.
