In brand-new condition, with the exception of having just been carefully set-up here at Folkway, this Martin 00L-17E Black Smoke is one of the best deals in the shop right now. It's a pre-owned guitar, but it doesn't look it.
A lightly built 00-sized 14 fret body with scalloped X bracing and a very thin finish for extra warmth and vintage guitar-inspired openness right out of the gates. Spruce and mahogany body, rosewood bridge and fingerboard. Martin calls this body its 00-14 fret Slope Shoulder shape, and its outline is shared by the popular CEO-7 model and loosely styled after a Gibson L-00. The scale length is 24.9”, and the modified low oval neck has a nut width of 1-3/4”. Fishman Matrix VT Enhance NT1 onboard electronics.
