Waterloo WL-14X Scissortail

The WL-14 Scissortail is a special edition WL-14 that pays homage to the "Oriole" guitars produced by Kalamazoo between 1940 and 1942. Built with maple back and sides and vintage-inspired X-bracing, the Scissortail brings excellent projection and focus to the flagship WL-14 series while retaining its woody, characteristic tone. A natural finish coupled with distinctive tortoise-style binding sets this instrument apart from other WL-14 models, along with an original Scissortail decal applied to the headstock in true-to-era fashion

1-3/4” nutwidth, V-shape neck with 24-7/8” scale. 2-3/8 string spread at the bridge. Rosewood fingerboard, ebony bridge with drop-in saddle and ebony pins. Satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish, vintage style X-bracing and protein based glue assembly. Firestripe pickguard and tortoise bindings, bound soundhole, golden-age open-geared tuners.
