2018 Collings OM2H SB Traditional

The Collings OM2H Traditional is arguably among the finest sounding and feeling OM models currently available. It is consistently a shop favourite and appeals to both fingerstyle players and flat-pickers alike thanks to its incredible presence, string-balance, power from bass to treble, and warmth. It's one of those guitars that can be played gently or with gusto and still offers up its best, regardless of attack. We've yet to encounter a player who wasn't immediately smitten with the Traditional-carve neck feel and string spacing.

And here it is with a stunning sunburst top. Be still our beating hearts! We sold this guitar in 2018, and 6 years later the guitar remains as striking as it was when we first received it. Playwear is minimal, and playability is excellent.

Indian rosewood back and sides, Sitka spruce top with Traditional scalloped top bracing. Thin nitrocellulose lacquer hand-rubbed finish, wooden purflings and rosette, bevel-edged OM-shaped pickguard, ivoroid bindings and Waverly tuners. 1-3/4” nut width, 25.5” scale, traditional OM neck carve that's neither large nor small, both rounded and softly V'd in shape, and a 2-5/16” spacing at the bridge like a guitar from the 1930s. The neck depth measures .813” at the 1st fret, and thickens to .988” by the 9th fret.
