Collings 01 SB
The small bodied 01 is always a shop favourite when there's one in stock. The guitar's small size (similar to a Martin 0-18), light build, and comfortable feel add up to make an instrument that's fun to play, easy to play, and amazingly deep and complex. The fact that it looks so good is just a big plus!
Mahogany back and sides, sitka spruce top with scalloped bracing, sunburst finish, tortoise celluloid accents, and ebony board and bridge. Bone nut and saddle, Waverly tuners, pearl fingerboard dots and logo.
Modified V neck with 1-3/4" width at the nut, 24-7/8" scale, 2-3/16" string spread at the bridge, compound radius fingerboard, and a 1st fret neck depth of .845”.
The guitar is incredibly touch-sensitive and responsive, alive, and much warmer than you'd expect a little 13.5" wide guitar to be. An impossible guitar to set down once you've picked it up, and a fabulous couch companion.
