2006 Sergei de Jonge Concert Classical

Sergei de Jonge is something of a hallmark in the Canadian luthiery world, having built some of the finest concert-grade classical guitars in our country. This is a particularly fine example of Sergei's work; an expert blend of visual design and top-tier workmanship. It will please even the most discerning pro-level player.

The instrument features a solid Englemann spruce top, Brazilian rosewood back and sides and Sergei's trademark sculpted bridge. The guitar is beautifully appointed with an eye-catching spalted rosette that explodes into an incredible spectrum of hues. The Snakewood binding and fingerboard contrast nicely to the gold EVO frets. The headstock features a book-matched Brazilian rosewood overlay and pearl marquetry.

On the inside, the guitar's top bracing is expertly latticed, resulting in quick, yet developed, response that is truly thrilling: its voice is clear and evenly balanced throughout all registers, with an openness and volume rarely heard in guitars of this age. The nut width and string spacing are a touch tighter than usual classical guitar spec, likely to appeal to a wider variety of player. The nut measures 45mm with 57mm string spacing at the bridge. Scale length is 640mm.

The guitar is in excellent condition with little play wear and is currently set up with a comfortable action. We are happy to adjust it to player preferences upon request.

Exquisitely crafted, this guitar perfect blend of precision craftsmanship and sonic performance.

With hardshell case.
