Headstrong SC-5
The SC-5 is something totally different than any amp ever offered by Fender. With a 5 watt power section, the SC-5 is all about that creamy overdriven goodness we all love so much; but it comes without the small-box tone of just about every low-wattage amp we've ever plugged into. With it's Lil'King-sized (Princeton-sized) finger-jointed cabinet, bass/middle/treble controls, full size spring reverb, and larger speaker, the SC-5 has a hugely dynamic response - without that nothing-but-midrange feel of the typical 5 watt amp, and offers the player a huge amount of tonal versatility thanks to its 3-band EQ.
The SC-5 is available in 8”, 10” and 12” speaker configurations, can operate with 6V6, 6L6, or EL34 power tubes, and can be run with a 5Y3, 5U4 or GZ34 rectifier without any modifications or re-biasing. The one pictured here features a 10” Weber Ferromax ceramic speaker, 6V6 and 5Y3 set-up.
