Recent Joseph Yanuziello Lap Steel

A one-off lap steel built by one of our favorite luthiers, Joe Yanuziello. Inspired by the 1930's EH-150s and the like, Joe built the tastefully simple steel of tightly figured maple with 30's sunburst finish and hand-made nickel-plated hardware. Joe's work is the stuff of legend, and the steel is both beautifully designed and meticulously constructed.

Cream-bound maple body and ebony fingerboard with flush frets and pearl inlays. Fralin P-90 pickup, vintage knobs and 1950's Waverly new-old-stock tuners. 22.5" scale, nut string spacing is 1-3/4" and with a string spread tapering to 1-7/8" at the bridge. It's a thick, fat sounding steel with a good mix of snarl and sweetness.
