c.1935 Regal Model 27

No Serial number. The Regal built Dobro Model 27 was the company's least expensive resonator and sold well. There are many versions of this model, with numerous differences in design occurring over the decade of its production run. This example is a later Chicago-built instrument, dating from as early as 1935, but more likely to 1937. The instrument features a birch plywood body, 12 fret round neck, sunburst top finish, white bound top and back, screen soundholes, slotted headstock, and poinsettia coverplate. Spun aluminum cone and spider bridge, no soundwell.

Frets are in excellent condition, and the guitar is set up to play Spanish style currently. It appears to have been set up with a riser nut for the better part of the last 70 or so years. Action will work for hybrid slide/fretting style of playing. Fine sound.
