Taylor Custom GC
One of the great things about being a Taylor Guitars dealer is that once in a while their famed "Roadshow" comes to town. And when it does, they bring things. Cool things. Like this custom GC that we just had to buy from them to offer in our store. This specific guitar comes from their "Build to Order" program and is an entirely unique creation - Taylor is happy to build you the guitar of your dreams starting from scratch and using species and grades that aren't currently available through their standard line, and this is an example of what kind of amazing guitars can be dreamed up and built.
This rosewood Grand Concert is built with a Western Red Cedar top with koa bindings to the body, neck and headstock, and matching figured Koa back strip, neck heel cap and rosette. In addition, the guitar features Taylor's ES pickup system. With thick trebles, warm rich mids and a punchy bass response, the guitar produces wonderful tone and is among the best sounding small bodied Taylor guitars we've ever had in the shop.
A smaller-bodied instrument, the guitar is exceptionally comfortable to hold and play. The GC's short scale length of 24.9" and this model's smaller 1-11/16" nut add to the small-body feel. Gotoh 510 tuning machines, ebony pins, Tusq nut and compensated saddle.
With Deluxe hard-shell case
