Taylor 416ce Spring Ltd.

This year's batch of Taylor Spring Limited 400 series guitars features Granadillo back and sides. Found in central and south America, Granadillo is a dense tone wood with a reddish/coppery hue. Traditionally used in marimba production, the wood is difficult to come by, and there is no telling when you'll see another Granadillo guitar from Taylor.

Similar to rosewood in tone with an added bell-like chime, this 416ce lends itself equally well to strumming or flat picking. Maple is featured heavily on this instrument: In the Progressive Dot inlays as well as for the binding on the body and fingerboard. A Granadillo bridge contrasts nicely with the light Sitka spruce top. ES pickup system, Granadillo head stock overlay, rosewood bridge pins, Venetian cutaway, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, 25-1/2" scale and 1-3/4 Tusq nut.
