Marc Beneteau Concert Standard

Marc Beneteau has been honing his lutherie skills for the better part of four decades now, and his instruments are internationally lauded by musicians and collectors alike. Meticulous workmanship and finishing, evolved instrument design, excellent playability and -- most notably -- outstanding tone are Beneteau's Hallmarks. Don Ross and Tony McManus are both Beneteau players, and Marc's guitars are a natural fit for the dynamic styles of each of these masters.

Marc dropped in for a visit recently, bringing this exquisite Concert Standard model with him. The guitar has a nearly 16" wide cut-away body, with armrest and side soundport. Back and sides are of Honduran Rosewood, and the top is Sitka Spruce. The instrument features rosewood binding, a rosewood and koa rosette and bound soundhole, and finely mitred purflings. Five peice mahogany laminate neck, bound Ziricote fingerboard and headstock overlay, Ziricote bridge and back-strap. Gold Gotoh 510 tuning machines with black buttons, and in the case pocket you'll find Marc's newly designed soundport cover accessory.

Round neck carve, 1-3/4" nutwidth, 25.4" scale length.
